Trina McFarland
Owner & Managing Director
Trina's 20+ years of Inventor Relations experience brings BDI a company centric methodology and approach to the representation business model. In 2018, she launched TinkerTini, the toy industry’s first Inventor Relations Agency. She has developed far-reaching and trusting relationships within the toy industry and serves on boards for The United Inventors Association (UIA) Toy Hub, The Toy Association's Creative Factor and co-authored The 2023 Toy Association’s Toy Inventor & Designer Guide. Trina is passionate about breaking down industry barriers to both help inventors gain equitable access to all toy companies AND introduce new methods to companies when it comes to scouting for new opportunties. Trina also believes the future of inventing will be grounded in partnership and aims to make BDI a powerful engine of opportunity that serves inventors and companies.
Known for having a keen product eye and marketing minded take on concepts, her unique blend of approachable humor, know-how, and no-nonsense practicality make her extremely effective working with inventors and executives. See some of Trina's work placing inventor concepts HERE.
Kaelyn has the spirit of an advocate with many years of customer service and client relations expertise including the last few years at TinkerTini. She helps BDI stay buttoned-up and on task by managing a variety of administrative tasks for the team. If your BDI Platform account gets locked, Kaelyn will help you! Not sure what we do? Kaelyn will help explain. Receive some flowers from us? Kaelyn likely sent them. How grateful we are to have such a kind soul on the BDI Team to look after us, our featured clients, and our partner inventors! During her off time, you’ll find her volunteering at 2nd Chances Rescue, where she rescues, fosters, and advocates for fur babies in need.
